What are the Requirements for Application?

  11. Proof of Funds – Bank Statement showing #5.5 million Naira and above (€13,000) in your account.
  12. Tuition Fees: standard tuition fee of €363.36 or €726.72 per semester (depending on the uni). All students must pay the Austrian Students’ Union fees of €20.
  13. English Proficiency – IELTS though some schools will exempt this if your language of instruction during the BSc programme is English. Note you will be asked to provide PROFICIENCY IN ENGLISH FROM YOUR UNIVERSITY For MSC Programs.
  14. Note: BSC Programmes only O-Level is required. 

Can I work part-time while studying?

Yes, the system allows students to work 20 hours per week. However, learning to speak German or Alemannic Austro-Bavarian gives you an edge over other foreign nationals.

What’s the general condition of Students’ Housing?

Student Housing is individually owned while the kitchen and bathroom could be shared. Although there are private bathroom/kitchen apartments as well that will require higher rent. Basic rent ranges from €280 – €1,500

  1. Why do YOU need to legalize documents?
    • In general, original foreign documents have to be legalized to be recognized as official documents in another country. Before submitting the documents to the Austrian Embassy, please check with the competent Austrian authority for which documents  legalization is required. 
  2. What is the general process?*
    • Authentication of Documents: All your documents should be authenticated by Both Ministries MOE &MOFA.
    • Verification of documents: 
      • All your Original documents will be checked by the Austrian Embassy’s Lawyer for credibility and a fee of 200, 000Naira Cash🇳🇬🇳🇬 would paid on the day of your Verification Appointment.
    • Legalization of documents: As soon as the documents has been confirmed by the Lawyer, it can then be legalized with the equivalent of €80 in Naira Cash.
    • Legalized Document Should be sent to the University via Courier DHL, It serves as an edge to get Admitted or alternatively to the school email If it is requested through such means.
    • After you have gotten an admission, you can then apply for a Resident Permit through this mail to book for an appointment (abuja-ka@bmeia.gv.at)
