- Contribution to Living Expenses (CLE): A fortnightly stipend for basic living expenses, provided at a rate determined by the department.
- Introductory Academic Program (IAP): A mandatory program preceding formal academic studies, offering information on living and studying in Australia.
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC): Provided for the duration of the award (for the award holder only) to cover basic medical costs, excluding pre-existing conditions.
